Men's Retreat

Introduction

Usually during the first week of October of each year, the men of the church go to Glennie, Michigan.  The rustic outdoors allows the guys to be guys (No running water - we really rough it!).  There are opportunities to hunt, fish, golf, shoot skeet, talk around the campfire, share what's going on in their lives, and share in God's Word.  This is a tremendous time of building each man of our Church into the MEN of our Church - working together to build the Kingdom of God.  You will not want to miss this great time of renewal and male bonding!!!  Please contact Rev. Don Bunker, Tim Exelby or Rev. Larry Crum to sign up.  A nominal charge of $35 per person will be collected prior to the retreat.

The Best Part of Men's Retreat

This is a time of spiritual renewing for the men.  The services are moved by a dynamic worship service.  Pastor Larry gives us words of encouragement.  A guest pastor presents messages that go to the heart of the men which encourages and convicts to repentance.

During one retreat, one young man was convicted of his sinful life and in repentance fell prostrate before the Lord.  Heaven was shouting glory for yet another sinner was won to Christ!

Sunday morning service is especially edifying.  The spirit of God sweeps through the entire group of men.  Weeping, public confession, edification of God,  and appreciation of one and another is obvious.  The time of communion is very special to all of us.  The most touching times are when men or their sons go to each other during communion and pour their hearts out to each other and weep, hug, and declare their love for each other.  Pastor Larry's leading of the Sunday morning service is especially spirit sensitive.  We all finish with prayer for specific individuals in our church.  All we can say is WOW and Amen.
