Adult 1

We are studying the book of Isaiah, one of the Major Prophets of the old Testament.  Isaiah is composed essentially of two sections.  The first declares God's judgement of sin, the sinner's need for repentance, and the resultant blessings from the Lord.  The second part of this book of the Bible foretells of the coming of the Messiah.  We use the "Wisdom of the Word" study guide to aid our lively discussion each week.  We seek to understand this important book of the Bible and how it should impact our lives today.  This class is a must for those who seek a deeper knowledge of Scripture, whether a new believer or someone who is already a student of the Word.

Take off your glasses and get in the game!  "I Once Was Blind But Now I Squint" is our Sunday School study book that explains how perspective affects our behaviour.  Author Kent Crockett examines and scrutinizes twelve distorted perspectives that people use to view life - envy, inferiority, rejection, lust, distcontentment, discouragement, and more.  It's not until a person takes off the proverbial rose-colored glasses that one is able to see life from the correct perspective - God's perspective.  Using the metaphor of glasses, the author describes how we view situations and people in our lives from twelve different perspectives.  We look through these same glasses today.  This study is filled with anecdotes and illustrations that clarify some of the basic truths of living as a Christian.  This course is taught by Tim Exelby.

Ambassadors

"And the Word was made flesh!" We are studying the earthly life of Christ, His sermons, and His actions. Join a life changing dialog, as we discover how Christ works in us!  With their career behind them, folks in this class have much in common - Grandchildren, kids who won't grow up or who grew up too fast, or perhaps retirement concerns.  With the wisdom gained through growing in grace, they help inspire the younger crowd to make a difference in today's world.  They meet in the fireplace room. This class is taught by RP Smith.
